Deepika Padukone and Neil Nitin Mukesh will act Pradeep Sarkar directed Yash Raj Films' Next, a gritty romance set on the streets of Mumbai.
Both the actors have extremely challenging roles to play in the film that is slated to go on floor this December and is scheduled for a 2010 release.
This will be Deepika and Neil's first film together.
Parineeta director Pradeep Sarkar's last film for Yash Raj Films, Lagaa Chunari Mein Daag failed at the box office despite an ensemble cast.
Deepika is currently busy filming for Housefull with co-star Akshy Kumar.
