Mumbai: She is the bone of contention threatening his marital bliss but Hrithik Roshan is yet to get over Barbara Mori. The actor who had to break all ties with the foreign sensation to restore peace in his marriage is now pushing Zoya Akhtar to cast Mori opposite him.
But reportedly, Zoya has adamantly refused to oblige. Nevertheless, Hrithik is not backing out and is making sure he has his way.
Story goes that Hrithik is so bowled over by Mori’s acting skills and professional attitude that he recommended her for Zoya Akhtar’s road trip movie, in which he plays the lead. The film that is set in Spain also stars Abhay Deol and Farhan Akhtar and was initially planned with Sonam Kapoor. But after Sonam backed out, Hrithik pushed for Zoya.
Confirming the news a source said, "It was Duggu`s idea that they cast Barbara for the role. However, Zoya wasn`t too convinced. She decided to hold auditions and cast someone else for the role. Casting for the female lead (opposite Hrithik) remains open."
But Hrithik is not giving up that easily. "Whenever he meets producers or filmmakers, he only has words of praise for Barbara. It`s clear that he definitely wants to work with her again irrespective of the fate of ‘Kites’, their upcoming release", adds the source.
