I'm not perfect and I am okay with it>>>>>>>

Actor Deepika Padukone’s personal life seems to be certainly grabbing a lot of headlines of late.

At present, the news doing the rounds is that she has become ‘close friends’ with liquor baron Vijay Mallya’s son Siddharth.

When we asked her about this, she just said, “No comments absolutely.” But she was more forthcoming when we asked her about reports that claimed Siddharth had called her the ‘lucky charm’ of his cricket team.

She said, “It’s unfair to give me all the credit and call me a lucky charm. The boys are playing outstanding cricket and the credit must go to them. They are the ones who are doing it for the team, not me. I am very happy to be a part of the team and it’s been a great time attending the matches in Bangalore. I have always been a big fan of sports but cricket is quite a new territory for me. I love the T20 format.”

Deepika’s family hails from Bangalore and she grew up in that city. She got a bit nostalgic when we asked her about her family. She said she shared a special bond with her mother.

“I have learned plenty from my mother. I inherited the art of multi-tasking from her. My mother was a successful professional yet we never ever felt that she wasn’t there for me or my sister whenever we needed her. She balanced her personal and professional life with ease. She’s not just my mom but my best friend too,” she says.

At a time when size zero figures of female actors in Bollywood are hitting headlines regularly, we asked Deepika to give her take on it. “It’s impossible for an Indian body type to be size zero. It’s better to be voluptuous than to be skinny or anorexic. For me, being in shape is important but being fit is most important. I’m not perfect and I am okay with it,” she ends.
