Indian Film Company acquires Shahid-Kareena's untitled film
The Indian Film Company has acquired the worldwide rights for the eagerly awaited Imtiaz Ali's untitled film, produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. is a premium content production and distribution company that has produced hits like Golmaal and Bhaagam Bhag last year.
The film, a musical romantic comedy set in North India, starring Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor, is slated for release in October this year. Acclaimed music director, Pritam, has composed the score for the film. The title of the film is being chosen through a consumer contest and will be revealed at the end of this week.
The Indian Film Company has now theatrical, home video, music and satellite rights of the film and has assigned distribution of the said rights to Studio 18 for exploitation.

The Indian Film Company is a specialist film investment company, which was admitted to trading on the AIM market in June 2007 and raised £55 million in order to invest in a diverse portfolio of Indian films targeted at the Indian audiences across varying genre, language and budgets.
The Indian Film Company will seek to enter into arrangements relating to film projects where the Group retains full ownership of all intellectual property rights relating to each film project although ownership may be shared with co-producers where necessary.
